Manuka Honey UMF 15+ (14.1 oz) by Tahi Reviews
I order almost everything online, and I am an avid review reader, but rarely write reviews. I have tried many brands of Manuka, and this is by far the best. My husband has psoriasis on his hands, which have deep, painful cracks that haven't healed with 2 years of products from the dermatologist. He was even putting super glue on the cracks just to close them. Within ONE night of putting this on his hand & bandaging it, it closed up halfway. On day three now and almost totally healed. Incredible! So happy to be using this instead of all the toxic chemicals. And we also eat a spoonful every morning & it's delicious!

I just bought 2 more jars of Tahi Manuka Honey UMF 15+. This honey has antibacterial properties and it is great for daily health maintenance.
What this honey did for me so far is: I got rid of ear canal eczema, shoulder and knee joint pain, honey keeps the flu away (I am very prone to seasonal colds and flu), I got so much energy and I feel like my chronic bronchitis is getting better since the common cough vanished.

This honey is too delicious! Raw, creamy and divine! Does not taste intensely medicinal, as some have remarked of other brands. Like Pooh-Bear, I could not keep my paws from the honey jar, and couldn't stay away from it the first week or two. Due to the expense, I had planned to reserve it for "important purposes," but due to its tastiness, have gobbled most of it down fairly quickly. It tastes so good on its own, I wouldn't waste it just to sweeten tea, unless you're doing so for the health benefit too. Fortunately for me, I have not experienced any of the disorders that manuka honey is indicated to resolve/ameliorate, so I cannot review its efficacy for same (unfortunate for reviewing purposes). From my research, Tahi Estates honey is the real deal manuka-wise, and The Kiwi Importer is a trusted importer of the product.
The honey industry has been plagued by counterfeit product in general, as has there been discord within the specific manuka honey industry in New Zealand with respect to testing and labeling. It should become a little bit easier to know what you're buying in the near future, as the NZ Ministry for Primary Industries has been drawn into the fray with respect to labelling the methylgloxal content (health claims not allowed on labels), and the Unique Manuka Factor honey association has published a comparison chart to compare methylgloxal level to UMF grades for products:
This website also lists current manuka honey licensees, and lists Tahi Estate Ltd as license #2035 (and also has a link to the producer's website), as well as other general information.
I'm a bit leery about purchasing certain items on Amazon, and given the counterfeit issues, limited supply, and controversy, manuka honey is one of them, but I feel pretty confident after an embarrassment of research, that Tahi is the real deal, and as Kiwi Importer is listed on the Tahi website (and is incredibly on the ball in terms of shipping and customer service), that I received the product I expected and paid for.
I may continue to buy Tahi as a treat, and to support an eco-friendly smaller business, and pick up a jar of the more medicinal tasting non-raw corporate product for putting on my face and feet. Tahi honey is just awesomely delicious!!!

I used it on my face for acne treatment, and it is super effective!
I ordered another 3 since I plan to use it on my acne daily.
Love it so much! Thanks for offering this manuka honey in such reasonable price with excellent quality.

The best honey out there. My son stated that the only part about getting a sore throat that he likes is eating this honey by the spoon full. kiwi importers has great customer service and we will continue to buy this honey.

I brush my teeth with this honey, and it gives me longer lasting fresher breath!! I have tried different brands at different pricing levels, and I think I am done shopping around. This is the brand for me.
Unlike other honeys that I have become suspicious of, this honey is not overly sweet. The Tahi company states that their bees are free roaming and that they do not feed their bees sugar water. By the taste and texture of this honey, I certainly believe them. This honey is smooth and beautiful and extremely tasty, but not sugary.
I do not eat manuka daily, reserving it mostly for tooth and skin care, as I intake probiotics throughout the day and do not want the manuka honey killing off my expensive probiotics. Maybe someday I will try eating it on a regular basis.
The container and lid are beautiful, making this honey suitable as a gift.

Thank you for the nice note and the brochure in the original
order....not only a nice touch, but extremely informative.
My wife and I love the Honey and I've tried them all....Happy Valley,
Comvita, etc.,(Basically all the Certified "UMF" rated Manuka) and the Tahi by far is our favorite! We literally eat it
with a spoon....and the wife and I are a little out of control! We also
love the conservation efforts and the mission behind the brand itself....it
comes through in the taste and the overall experience.

This is the best seller you can purchase the best, most legit honey from. This honey is unlike anything I have ever encountered, and blows all the other impostors out of the water.
The seller is prompt, professional, and just for lack of better words awesome! I can see myself stockpiling up on this super honey in case it ever goes extinct, or there is a zombie apocalypse! (lol)
Really, though, I did tons of research, and this is definitely the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a high quality 15+ UMF certified manuka honey. Tahi knows what they are doing, and so does The Kiwi Importer.

This is the best honey I have EVER tasted. A teaspoon a day is so good for you!

The people who make it really care and know what they are doing to and for the environment. I only use a teaspoon so it goes a long way.

Very tasty! Tastes so good, I have to eat it out of the jar with a spoon like Winnie the Pooh! It's also very effective topically at killing infection. I had a cut that I was using Neosporin on for a couple of weeks. It wasn't working well. So I applied some of this Manuka honey. It worked much, much better. In a couple of days, the cut was almost completely healed. This stuff is amazing! Highly recommend! It isn't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for!

This honey is really great. I've purchased different brands of UMF manuka honey through Amazon, and all of them are great, but I do like this brand a lot. I'll sometimes apply it topically to my skin as a face mask or spot treatment, and my skin looks so much healthier. I also take a teaspoon daily, or try to at least. Eating the honey definitely has it's benefits, but it can be hard to really tell a difference. I use it mostly for inflammation and for its' antibacterial benefits, and those might not be as obvious but you should know it's working! Love this stuff!

This honey is great - worth every penny! Try it and you will be hooked - it's so much better than the "regular" local honey I was previously buying. The flavor is much more complex. You also don't have to consume very much to experience the health benefits. I give my kids a spoonful of this honey every day and they have not had so much as a runny nose all winter long, although they will fake a cough to try to get extra. Highly recommend!

Best honey ever! Amazing taste, consistency, and its good for you! As a holistic fitness instructor, I am very conscious of a healthy diet. Tahi Manuka Honey has been part of my daily diet for the past year, and I treasure every bit of it. Worth every penny! I feel my overall health is much better now after incorporating Tahi Manuka Honey into my daily holistic diet/routine. My favorite way of eating it, is adding it to my natural tea along with cinnamon and turmeric. I also enjoy it with oatmeal and cereal. My husband and child like it on biscuits. And just to help my immune system and soothe a sore throat, I take a spoonful of it mixed with a few drops of lemon juice, turmeric and cinnamon. Yummy!

Research your Manuka honey before you buy!! Then order from Tahi. They offer the real thing, and you can both taste and feel a difference! When I ran out, I purchased another brand that is very popular in the US at a local store. I could tell immediatley that it was not pure and obviously mis-represented as the real thing. I returned it and ordered the Tahi again. The taste is decadent!
Also, I sent some to someone suffering pain from cancerous tumors. They have reported that they have finally found pain relief, and some signs of a healing process not noticed before. I am no expert on such things, but relief is relief, may be found by others too.
Thank You Tahi ! You will hear from me on a regular basis!

I don't generally write reviews, but really - this ought to be shared. First off, the seller (The Kiwi Importer) actually put Amazon Prime to shame (sorry, Amazon Prime). This item wasn't eligible for Prime Shipping, unlike another item I ordered on the same day. Yet this arrived 1 day prior to the Prime item. The fact that I ordered it on a Sunday and received it Tuesday was doubly impressive. Second, there was a thoughtful, handwritten note on my invoice thanking me for my purchase and providing an overview of the honey's quality. So if the seller is reading this, thank you so much for the personal touch - it really goes a long way.
What most people want to know about is the honey (understandable given the price), so here it is: I researched a lot of UMF-licensed companies, and after narrowing it down to a handful, decided on Tahi because I was impressed with the way they ran their business (and would encourage those researching to check out their website). The jar was packaged well and enclosed in bubble wrap, and the label was exactly as I expected with the Best By Date, Batch Number, and UMF License Number clearly listed. Quality and texture is excellent - smooth, thick, and golden. Anyone who's a fan of manuka honey already knows about the taste, so I won't elaborate other than to confirm it's wonderful.
